Explore and protect: sustainable ecotourism
O-Live EcoBirding is much more than just nature observation. By exploring the Sierra de Cádiz with us you will support biodiversity conservation projects, applied research and environmental education, since your contribution will help the NGO O-Live Medioambiente. Discover the secrets of Sierra de Cádiz through personalised tours that in a few kilometers will allow you to visit mountain, forest, countryside and wetlands. You will enjoy flora, fauna, landscape, history and of course a great variety of birds. In addition, the primary migration path of birds in Europe passes right overhead.
So...Let us guide you into nature!
Sierra de Cádiz has a variety of ecosystems that provides us with the opportunity to observe a huge array of different species.
Ancient forests of holm oaks inhabited by Iberian green woodpeckers, short-toed eagles or by the always fidget Sardinian and Dartford warblers.
Mountains and cliffs
The imposing limestone cliffs are the habitat of griffon vultures, Bonelli's eagles, Egyptian vultures, black wheatears and blue rock thrushes.
Marsh harriers overfly the flocks of flamingos, spoonbills and other waders. Meanwhile, hidden in the bushes, a western olivaceous warbler sings.
Southern grey shrikes, zitting cisticolas, black shouldered kites or lesser kestrels fill of life the vast cereal crops, the olive groves and the dehesas.
